GUY WHEATCROFT

Managing Director

Guy is the Managing Director of Horizon Law. Guy graduated with an Honours Degree in Law from Southampton University, and qualified as a solicitor in 1980. His passion for property and law, at the highest level, led him to develop his legal practice with a major City of London law firm. There he became a Partner, advising public bodies and public utility providers, national house builders and property developers [and individuals] on all their real estate requirements.
Prior to taking over at Horizon Law, Guy, together with his wife Jane, ran their own property development business, undertaking a number of schemes in North London and Hertfordshire. This direct involvement in buying, selling and developing their own properties undoubtedly gives Guy the edge in understanding the differing pressures that his clients face. Guy is keen to make available to a wide range of clients the skills, knowledge and expertise he has gained over more than 30 years.

In 2012, Guy became Managing Director where he is fulfilling his ambition of creating and managing a modern niche law firm delivering exceptional client care in the areas of Property and Private Client law.

He leads by example and continues to run a case load, advising clients on their transactions whether that is purchasing, selling or leasing commercial property. Guy also deals with residential transactions, specialising in high value properties. Guy, and the team at Horizon Law, takes pride in offering a bespoke service to all clients on a one to one basis, with the efficiency and continuity of clients receiving that personal service.

Living and working in the Barnet and Hadley Wood area leads to Guy developing close links with the local community. He has recently been appointed a trustee to the Barnet Museum, where he has provided pro-bono legal advice in connection with securing the Museum’s long-term future at the heart of the community.
